How Much Does a Website Cost? A Simple, Transparent Breakdown
"So, how much is a website?"
It’s the first question on every business owner's mind, and rightly so. But the web design industry can often be frustratingly vague with its answers, hiding behind "it depends" and complicated quotes. I believe in being upfront and transparent about costs.
So, I’ve restructured my pricing to make it as simple and clear as possible. This post explains exactly how it works, so you can see what you're paying for and build the perfect site for your budget.
The Philosophy: Simple Blocks, No Hidden Fees
My pricing is now broken down into simple, logical blocks. There’s a one-off cost for the foundational design and setup, and then a clear price for each page you need. You only ever pay for what you actually need.
Part 1: The Foundation: Core Design & Setup (£300)
This is the essential starting point for every single project. It covers the in-depth work of designing a unique look for your brand and building a flexible, powerful site structure with a solid, SEO-first mindset. This isn't just a template; it's the custom-built chassis for your new online presence.
Part 2: The Pages: Content Creation & On-Page SEO (£150 per page)
This is where we bring your site to life. A page isn't just a blank space; it's a sales tool. This per-page price includes the creation of all the content – the persuasive words, the professional images, and the on-page SEO. I take your raw ideas and turn them into pages that connect with customers.
Putting It All Together: What to Expect
This simple block system makes it easy to estimate your investment.
A professional one-page 'scrolling' website – a perfect fit for many small businesses – starts from £550. (That's the £300 Foundation + one comprehensive £250 page).
A typical 5-page small business website (e.g., Home, About, 3x Services) would be £1,050. (That's the £300 Foundation + 5 x £150 pages).
And of course, there are optional add-ons like the Google Launch Pack (£150) if you need them.
The Goal is Clarity
My aim is to take the guesswork out of commissioning a new website. With this transparent approach, you are in complete control. You know what you're getting, you know what it costs, and you can be confident that you're investing in a high-value asset that is built properly from the ground up.
